There is a simple way to stop the washing machine from walking across the laundry room floor. Place grip tape under the washer and dryer legs. Grip tape, or tread tape or deck tape or anti-skid tape is like sand paper with an adhesive back. You can purchase four pieces of 2" x 2" tape via the Internet for $8 or you can buy a 15 ft roll from Lowes for $10. Our washing machine was notorious for moving around the laundry room ceramic tile floor. It hasn't budged an inch in several months now since placing the tape under the legs. Today the dryer got the treatment.
