Summary

The EdgeRouter Config Tree GUI creates a VyOS type file interpreted by a perl script that generates the dhcp6c.conf file. It appears a specified GUI host-name ::1 creates the ifid 1 in the /var/run/dhcp6c-eth0-pd.conf file as a way to set the interface host value. UniFi USG Router is very similar.

Notes

• VyOS host-name translates to dhcp6c.conf ifid.
