Purchase the 2401CLB clear button change kit when purchasing a 6 or 8 button KeypadLinc. It will save you the shipping later when you want to change the default buttons to customize the labels. Printed labels from a spreadsheet work fine at a 6 pt font on a 0.49" high by 0.42" wide cell. The 0.49" is a little bit longer than it needs to be. The next set of labels will be printed at 0.48" to see if they fit better.
The change kit includes small square clear plates that can be installed in the button KeypadLinc button before the clear cover with the custom label is installed. Some buttons already have this plate but some don't. This should keep the paper label flat. If the plates are pushed in too far, they can be corrected by removing the button assembly by removing the four small phillips head screws.
The buttons were purchased from MacHomeStore.com. Smarthome.com has a selection of pre-printed labels.
