Sound and Smart Insulation Information

Sometimes it takes a while to find sound and smart information about a topic.  Eventually though it can be found.  Installing insulation in a house doesn't get much attention but it needs to be done right to take advantage of the energy savings possible.  The Advanced Insulation, Inc website has lots of good information. They discuss foam, batt, blown, fiberglass and cellulose insulation. Techniques for installing and which type to use in which part of the house. Some of the articles are long but they are all worth reading. Their article about cathedralized spray foam ceilings has information about spray foam insulation and about how to insulate properly when air conditioning ducts are in the attic. Another article describes how fiberglass insulation should be installed. Its all good reading and obviously based on Building Sciences Corporation teachings. Its too bad every part of the country does not have quality informed insulation installers.
