The Simplehomenet EZSrve INSTEON controller can be restored with saved XML files.
Applies to Version 01.60 February 2, 2009
- Press and hold the EZSrve reset button for 15 seconds.
- Wait for the EZSrve to finish rebooting and connect with a web browser.
- Location Configuration -> Manually enter latitude and longitude or use the Find function
- Notice that sunrise and sunset times are not correct. Fix them in the next step.
- Server Configuation -> set the time zone and save it.
- Check the sunrise and sunset times on the Location Configuration page to make sure they are correct.
- Upload saved XML files from the Server Configuration screen. Do not upload the scenes.xml file, it is not required.
- RESTART from the Server Configuration page. Check that all things are configured.
- If the scenes do not work, then sync the EZServe from Device Manager screen.
This procedure is subject to change with the next version of software.
Note: Always clear cache in your browser before downloading the XML files. If you don't, you won't get the latest XML file.
Thanks for the info on fixing the sunrise/sunset problems!
